Professor Cheng Man Ching

At the Oshkosh T'ai Chi Center we study and practice the simplified 37-posture form developed by Professor Cheng Man Ching.  As a doctor, Cheng’s main priority for his form was health, so he removed repetition and postures that were more for martial application from the long Yang form to create a unique new style.  His form emphasizes rooting, softness, naturalness and the complete release of tension.
